  9. Chico Kameel says:

He was a lucky man, because, there are more than four functioning Sikiru Ayinde Barrister fans clubs on facebook today. Namely, Chief (Dr) Sikiru Ayinde Barrister Fans’ Club, The Ayinde Barrister Legacy Club, Barry Wonder Fans’ Club, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (Mr Fuji) Fans Club, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister Music Lovers Club. I’m a bonafide and an executive member of three out of the five above mentioned. You can search for any of them on facebook !

  10. Chico Kameel says:

He was the only musician that started with the name God and rounded up appreciation to Allah, his family, his fans, his organisation, those that worked with him. In fact, it was a farewell album and that was his last. Alhaji knew he was going to die, that was why he released that record with farewell message.

  11. Chico Kameel says:

Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Balogun was the best musician of all times. He was the only musician in Nigeria with most international wards. For instance, Musical Legend of Commonwealth (MLC) presented to him by the then Secretary General of Commonwealth, Dr Emeka Anyaoku, Africa International Music Ambassador, Dr of Music (Hons) UCLA. He was rare music Genius. An unequalled music wizard, a music ambassador plenipotentiary. A man with bundle of music talents.

  12. Omotayo says:

    BARRY… once a century genius.

  13. Johnson Adebayo says:

Alhaji Agba is not dead. For lovers of music generally, be you a christian or muslim or even pagan, as long as you love good music in Yoruba language, you must reckon with Barrister’s music.
I started listening to his music when my late brother (a military man) used to buy his records in late 60s and since then, there had been no going back.
I recommend that there should be a body that will compile ALL his records – I mean EVERYTHING – and let us have them- maybe in a few CDs. It’s been done for Fela’s records.
Also, let us continue to promote these records because they’ll continue to be relevant to life and living.
As for music, NOBODY can fill the vacuum created by his demise.
My mum (of blessed memory) would say “Orin ti tan nikun, o ku aroye).
My only regret about SAB’s death is that I was unable to have him play for me live.
I would have relished the memory for live, but then………

    • Adesina Razzac-Ayinde says:

Oh my brother, that oppourtunity, the providence; did not give me too.
As to his legacy, nobody was able to march his march-less skill in his trade, he was simply unequalled even till now. Adieu Mr Fuji, we are still missing you.

  14. Ashade Olabisi j. says:

since the departure of The Great Fuji Creator no musician as fill the gap indeed he is a talented musician who preach the word of God via music, infact it music settle dispute among friends, family also unite couples. if there is an opportunity of another chance i pray that the great musician and my father be grant the previledge so my wish will comes reality

  15. Oluwatosin says:

I got to know him long after his demise; followed his trajectory: so much genius, a far better voice melded with wisdom— both native and acquired— embellishes his songs, makes him a far better entertainer and poet. This is the little homage I could pay a hero who died before I recognize his brilliance. Live on wherever your songs live.

lol….tosin u must be one of those guys born in the 90s,…..ALHAJI BARRISTER was the best fuji musician in Nigeria since he founded that genre of music, he was very popular that even as far as the northern part of the country acknowledge his musical talent and he was given chieftancy titles in the north, infact some of his music was in hausa dialect, he preaches the gospel and in musical tone no one ha ever done that, i guess you need to listen to some of his album where he sangs mixing yoruba, hausa, igbo and even English, as a retired sergeant from the Nigerian army he i’m still collecting his albums, another musician with such a great quality was Ayinla Omo Wura, check him out and his radical ways of singing….those guys were so cool

  16. JiDE says:

Barry, how I wish R.I.P means “Return If Possible”. I named my son Ayinde, in demonstration of my love for you and your brand of Music. My mum loved you so much because of the way you praise and celebrated your mum in many albums and life plays. Ha! Ayinde ogun, emo ku, oju opo di. Akirimojo ku, enu isa nsofo. Ketekete ku iso pin.
